Apolo Jayvier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute Joaquin Chumo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Urdaspal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geronimo Urdaspal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Chumo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes, Fernando Cilio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fenix FC and the Yugoneta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fenix FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Yugoneta FC a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Maximo Abeita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fenix FC's Geronimo Urdaspal. 0-1. Rodolfo Cai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mauricio Caitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Roldan kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When Roque Eyague came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Yugoneta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Eyague couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Rodrigo Gai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fenix FC's zone, Rodrigo Gai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Urdaspal came out of the goal and Rodrigo Gai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Rodolfo Cai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erubiel Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erubiel Olayo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Mauricio Caitano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Cai to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 70th minute, Rodrigo Gai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erubiel Olayo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Caitano saved Yugoneta FC from getting behind. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Erubiel Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Rodolfo Cai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Caitano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 86th minute Rodolfo Cai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Caitano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Gai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geronimo Urdaspal came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Yugoneta FC's Rodrigo Gai. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Gai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Erubiel Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Yugoneta FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
