Mariano Xacintu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeo Casado's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Damian Bartoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Xacintu having to interfere. If Amadeo Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Guernica's Damian Bartoli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Xacintu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Damian Bartoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Amadeo Casado came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Guernica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Casado couldn't finish the play. After having played for 26 minutes, Amadeo Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guernica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Casado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guernica's Ricardo Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Giro in the 31st minute of play. Damian Bartoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Huracan defense, Amadeo Casado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mariano Xacintu. The Huracan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mariano Xacintu should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amadeo Casado made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Antonio Guillelmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damian Bartoli got free with Mariano Xacintu in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Damian Bartoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Xacintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Casado in the 69th minute of the match. Guernica's Ricardo Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Guillelmo in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Huracan getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Hector Sesuldo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Amadeo Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guernica's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeo Casado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Xacintu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Guillelmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Amadeo Casado struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Mariano Xacintu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guernica. In the 89th minute, Romeo Fernendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guernica's Eduardo Garin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Huracan. Amadeo Casado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Xacintu having to interfere. A collision led to Huracan getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Urbano Hodei hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Huracan's zone, Damian Bartoli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Xacintu came out of the goal and Damian Bartoli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Guernica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Huracan.
