Santos Vergaray came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by AJAX FC's Casimiro Hustaz. But to his dismay, Casimiro Hustaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Carmelo Montxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Silvio Lohitzun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Everardo Foro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. AJAX FC's Silvio Lohitzun tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Everardo Foro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvio Lohitzun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Montxo in the 25th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Foro made a kick off. Silvio Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Montxo in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Foro in the 59th minute of play forced AJAX FC's goalkeeper Silvio Lohitzun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Everardo Foro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tolloche's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Foro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Roque Neron fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tolloche's protests and gave Roque Neron a yellow card for diving instead.
