Efrain Basualdo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Dario Abechuco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Federico Gentza struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Oscar Ongile didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salto FC. 31 minutes into the game, one of Arribeños:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Elpidio Herena shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jonathan Ihazintu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Ellande in the 41st minute of the match. Chants of Arribeños echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Salto FC had held the ball for most of the match.
