The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Pastor Senon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quijana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quemquemtreu the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quijana's Nemesio Guillerme got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Aristides Cordarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Iratxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Gogo Iratxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quemquemtreu. Aristides Cordarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Iratxo having to interfere. The supporters of Quemquemtreu booed when Quijana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Herena didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Lander in the 28th minute of play forced Quijana's goalkeeper Gogo Iratxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Quemquemtreu's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Cerilo came free, but Geronimo Ciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Benicio Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Cerilo in the 42nd minute of play forced Quemquemtreu's goalkeeper Geronimo Ciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gogo Iratxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Ugutz in the 45th minute of play. Quijana's Gogo Iratxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Cordarin in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Quemquemtreu's zone, Nemesio Guillerme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Ciano came out of the goal and Nemesio Guillerme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Cerilo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quemquemtreu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pastor Senon was slow to take the kick. During this time Quijana's players had a chance to rest. Pastor Senon made a great header on Quijana's corner, it was just that Quemquemtreu's Geronimo Ciano managed to reach the ball for a save. Gustavo Cerilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benicio Ugutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th match minute, Quijana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Millan to maneuver through the defense. Aristides Cordarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Benicio Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes of play, Quemquemtreu's Benicio Ugutz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gogo Iratxo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oscar Millan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geronimo Ciano. Quemquemtreu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aristides Cordarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benicio Ugutz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Benicio Ugutz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gogo Iratxo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oscar Millan charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Millan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Quemquemtreu booed when Quijana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Millan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Quemquemtreu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quijana.
