In the 21stth minute of the game Ismael Mikelar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trinchera's Efrain Maxin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Estrella's Guillermo Vistruario got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ismael Mikelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Efrain Maxin having to interfere. Efrain Maxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Lekubegi in the 26th minute of play. Efrain Maxin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Mikelar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Trinchera's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Menendo came free, but Efrain Maxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Maxin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Vistruario went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Fernando Lekubegi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Trinchera's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Mikelar came free, but Efrain Maxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guillermo Vistruario scored 0-4 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Efrain Maxin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Estrella's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Mikelar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Maxin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ismael Mikelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Fernando Lekubegi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Efrain Maxin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Estrella's Ismael Mikelar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Efrain Maxin. That made the score 0-5 after 57 minutes of play. Ismael Mikelar was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With an all-out effort, Club Estrella's Efrain Maxin threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Epifanio Menendo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 68 minutes into the game, Anier Tabor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trinchera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Estrella the free kick. A collision led to Trinchera getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Anier Tabor hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute Ismael Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efrain Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Estrella's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The nice shot from Fernando Lekubegi in the 95thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Efrain Maxin had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Fernando Lekubegi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Efrain Maxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Estrella's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
