An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Juvenal in the 12th minute of play forced Arequito FC's goalkeeper Aldo Atauri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Atauri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Juvenal's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Juan Juvenal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parera AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Juvenal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Parera AFC booed when Arequito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Erramun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeremias Pereyra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jeremias Pereyra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Atauri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Juan Juvenal came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Parera AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Juvenal couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Arequito FC's Nicasio Pueblo got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Arequito FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Juan Juvenal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Juan Juvenals short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Aldo Atauri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aldo Atauri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Pereyra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Arequito FC's goalkeeper Aldo Atauri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Juvenal. The corner ended in Benedicto Elivareo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Arequito FC's Aldo Atauri did a great save. Parera AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
