With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteban Javiar in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Placido Indalecio saved Basail FC from getting behind. The supporters of Basail FC booed when Barreal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Horacio Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Ticho in the 12th minute of play forced Barreal AFC's goalkeeper Isidoro Tiadoro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Placido Indalecio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esteban Javiar's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Horacio Eder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Horacio Eder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basail FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Eder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Barreal AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 51 played minutes Basail FC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Abajas.
