The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Furtado in the 3rd minute of play forced Tambillo AFC's goalkeeper Luis Damario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Fanuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Havier in the 5th minute of the match. Angel Ferrer scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Fanuco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute, Filiberto Primeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Braulio Havier struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Rene Fanuco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tambillo AFC. 30 minutes into the match, Tambillo AFC's Braulio Havier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Fanuco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alejandro Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Alejandro Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Damario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Fraco in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Alejandro Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lértora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 played minutes Tambillo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Urtzi. Luis Damario made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Alejandro Furtado sent off a good shot on target. Rene Fanuco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salvador Fraco to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Lértora's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Havier came free, but Rene Fanuco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Fanuco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Havier, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Filiberto Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The long shot by Cecilio Shantala in the 73rd minute really tested Rene Fanuco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Leonel Garci hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Alejandro Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Luis Damario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Fanuco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulino Bembe in the 81st minute. Salvador Fraco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafino Salvator kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Alejandro Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luis Damario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Alejandro Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lértora's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Damario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chants of Tambillo AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Lértora had held the ball for most of the match.
