Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amancio Abancens started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Santiago Lando managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNION 1989 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Santiago Lando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Ibon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Escalada AFC's Guaberto Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Nastasio in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Lando in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Ibon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andres Gauargi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Ibon having to make a save. In the 32nd minute, Baldomiro Chesus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guaberto Ibon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santiago Lando went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Rogelio Bixintxo might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guaberto Ibon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Bixintxo ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Lando in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Ibon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baldomiro Chesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Ibon having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Lando to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Santiago Lando got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 58th minute, Amancio Abancens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Escalada AFC's goalkeeper Guaberto Ibon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Guaberto Ibon managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when UNION 1989 FC's Santiago Lando fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Santiago Lando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolo Lastur took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guaberto Ibon. Escalada AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 74th match minute, UNION 1989 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Nicholas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 75 minutes, Bernardo Tano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escalada AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Tano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santiago Lando's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Guaberto Ibon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eliseo Diagur kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Bernardo Tano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escalada AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Tano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Baldomiro Chesus came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the UNION 1989 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Chesus couldn't finish the play. UNION 1989 FC's Santiago Lando got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogelio Bixintxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Guaberto Ibon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Escalada AFC's Arnulfo Luken made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofilo Olando was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Escalada AFC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
