Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Chucho to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Fabricio Juvenal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Sendoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Garin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Lizer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabricio Juvenal in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Sendoa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th match minute, Argentino de Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Betadur to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Racing club's zone, Fabricio Juvenal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Sendoa came out of the goal and Fabricio Juvenal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
