After a rather tough play, Alsa FC's Adolfo Ruisko got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Camerino in the 9th minute of play forced Alsa FC's goalkeeper Anastasio Edorta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Marcial Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Elixio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Milian in the 13th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's Marcos Camerino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Edorta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Rene Claris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anastasio Edorta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Rosario Central's Marcial Aimar got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marciano Sendoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcial Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Anastasio Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anastasio Edorta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Aimar in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aaron Felipo made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Alsa FC's zone, Marcial Aimar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Edorta came out of the goal and Marcial Aimar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Rosario Central's Marciano Sendoa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Marcos Camerino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Edorta having to interfere. Eloy Chago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anastasio Edorta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Marcial Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Edorta having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Alsa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Milian to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Quilino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Elixio having to interfere. With a little luck, Alsa FC's Anastasio Edorta got control of the ball when Marcos Camerino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rosario Central's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
