An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Endura in the 15th minute of play forced Joaquin Team's goalkeeper Lucas Austin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcial Gorbea fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porteña FC's protests and gave Marcial Gorbea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Marcial Gorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Porteña FC's Honorato Gombal got control of the ball when Ciriaco Rafel tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Joaquin Team had played much better football throughout.
