Porteña FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave atlas the free kick. Honorato Gombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Barrionuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Gonzalo Cordairo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Porteña FC's Gonzalo Cordairo got a free kick in the 39th minute. When Isaac Barrionuevo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the atlas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isaac Barrionuevo couldn't finish the play. Isaac Barrionuevo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Honorato Gombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for atlas. In the 46th minute, Isaac Barrionuevo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Honorato Gombal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Porteña FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. atlas were winning 0-2.

56 minutes into the match, Porteña FC's goalkeeper Honorato Gombal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaac Barrionuevo. Erubiel Furtado hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Serafino Cordara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Serafino Cordara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac Barrionuevo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Rodrigo Endura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Banegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Banegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Endura in the 86th minute of play. Isaac Barrionuevo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 89th playminute. Isaac Barrionuevo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Honorato Gombal came out and tried to block the shot, but Isaac Barrionuevo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 92nd minute. Serafino Cordara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
