But to his dismay, Fabio Leocadio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Roano during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alter Ego's Carmelo Roano got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 18th minute, Desiderio Etxeberri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dionisia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Melchor Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Etxeberri in the 21st minute of the match. When Damaso Nel fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alter Ego's protests and gave Damaso Nel a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Alter Ego got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Nel. When Damaso Nel was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 25 minutes had been played. In the 26th minute, Damaso Nel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Millan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Osvaldo Txema. After having played for 29 minutes, Desiderio Etxeberri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dionisia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Etxeberri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Dionisia FC booed when Alter Ego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Roano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Dionisia FC's Osvaldo Txema tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Melchor Millan made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Fabio Leocadio sent off a good shot on target. Amancio Quilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eustacio Baraquiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arsenio Santiago might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melchor Millan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arsenio Santiago ran back to his position shaking his head. Sebastian Evarado hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amancio Quilo made a kick off. The Dionisia FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Dionisia FC's Desiderio Etxeberri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fabio Leocadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Dionisia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Santiago to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Alter Ego's Carmelo Roano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. If Desiderio Etxeberri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dionisia FC booed when Alter Ego was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Urbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Osvaldo Txema sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melchor Millan skillfully saved the ball. Melchor Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Etxeberri in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Etxeberri in the 96th minute of play forced Alter Ego's goalkeeper Melchor Millan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dionisia FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alter Ego had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
