Salsedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porteña FC the free kick. A collision led to Salsedo getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Rene Jerrald hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Salsedo's zone, Tadeo Pelayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Iraido came out of the goal and Tadeo Pelayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigo Endura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Farias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salsedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porteña FC the free kick. Guido Liher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Americo Bernard notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Porteña FC's Honorato Gombal. Honorato Gombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodrigo Endura struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Atilano Iraido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porteña FC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guido Liher made a kick off. Guido Liher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gogo Gervaso fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porteña FC's protests and gave Gogo Gervaso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Porteña FC's Gogo Gervaso got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Porteña FC's goalkeeper Honorato Gombal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Americo Bernard. Guido Liher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Gombal having to make a save. Americo Bernards short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Honorato Gombal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 64th minute, Tadeo Pelayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Porteña FC booed when Salsedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Tavio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Marcial Gorbea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Atilano Iraido skillfully saved the ball. Guido Liher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Gombal having to interfere. Tadeo Pelayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Iraido having to interfere. If Americo Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Americo Bernard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salsedo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Americo Bernard was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Salsedo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Salsedo's goalkeeper Atilano Iraido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Salsedo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Porteña FC throughout the match.
