Spectators: 7202 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aaron Montrell got the match started through his kick off. Everardo Cordarrel did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ivan Pabla 5 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Matafueguistas's Ciriaco Gartzen got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 8th minute of the match Leonardo Nabar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Pabla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 9 played minutes Matafueguistas got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Gartzen. Ivan Pabla was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leonardo Nabar. The supporters of Matafueguistas booed when Atalaya AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matafueguistas were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Atalaya AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conrado Marques took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ciriaco Gartzen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Esteve Faron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Atalaya AFC's zone, Esteve Faron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Ibar came out of the goal and Esteve Faron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aaron Montrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matafueguistas's goalkeeper Ivan Pabla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Everardo Cordarrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Ivan Pabla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Aaron Montrell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Pabla having to make a save. Aaron Montrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Pabla having to interfere. Matafueguistas's Ivan Pabla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Cordarrel in the 65th minute of play. Ernesto Ieltxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Ibar having to interfere. Esteve Farons short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Fabricio Ibar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Montrell in the 81st minute of play forced Matafueguistas's goalkeeper Ivan Pabla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Esteve Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matafueguistas's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteve Faron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabricio Ibar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute of the match Leonardo Nabar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Pabla skillfully saved the ball. Matafueguistas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
