Prospero Sauveur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Etxeberri in the 17th minute of the match. Eustacio Baraquiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Maidana in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ildefonso Suero got free with Eustacio Baraquiel in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eustacio Baraquiel was a little too slow when Maximo Maidana got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Maidana in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Baraquiel saved Dionisia FC from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Dionisia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Olando came free, but Eustacio Baraquiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Maximo Maidana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Victoria 's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximo Maidana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustacio Baraquiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albino Lorencio got free with Eustacio Baraquiel in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eustacio Baraquiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Olando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Etxeberri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Prospero Sauveur was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximo Maidana in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustacio Baraquiel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute Fabio Leocadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desiderio Etxeberri to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Etxeberri in the 52nd minute of play forced Victoria 's goalkeeper Prospero Sauveur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celedonio Olando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albino Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Baraquiel having to interfere. Desiderio Etxeberri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Prospero Sauveur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustacio Baraquiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Suero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Fabio Leocadio made a precise shot to the right of Prospero Sauveur. Victoria 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eustacio Baraquiel came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Victoria 's Celedonio Olando. But to his dismay, Celedonio Olando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Eustacio Baraquiel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albino Lorencio's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute Albino Lorencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustacio Baraquiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Victoria booed when Dionisia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Veremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Maidana in the 85th minute of play forced Dionisia FC's goalkeeper Eustacio Baraquiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
