A collision led to Rueda getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Dante Lertxun hit a great ball. Camilo Goiz hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Dante Lertxun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute Marcos Bernard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Lartaun might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Tipi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Lartaun ran back to his position shaking his head. Mauricio Isidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Bernard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Isidor in the 37th minute of the match. Dante Lertxun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Tipi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. If Mauricio Isidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Tipi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Lertxun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dante Lertxun to make the kick off. The supporters of Algarrobo booed when Rueda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Oliveiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Isidor got free with Emanuel Sancho in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teo Abadie kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rueda's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Lartaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Tipi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 95 minutes, Mateo Jordy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Algarrobo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateo Jordy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rueda's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
