To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Siro Garaona made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Pedro Valiente sent off a good shot on target. Severino Urtun's late challenge caught a Verdolaga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Urtun helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Majaditas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Urtun to maneuver through the defense. Fidel Maurin hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Verdolaga's Teodoro Rico suffered a sore knee after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Leonardo Ramirez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Munio having to interfere. If Martin Castulo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustin Urbes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Iker Munio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Majaditas AFC's Iker Munio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Urbes in the 37th minute of play. Iker Munio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Bras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Munio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Ramirez, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Ruperto Evarado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verdolaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Evarado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Gilesindo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Gilesindo in the 52nd minute of play forced Verdolaga's goalkeeper Siro Garaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Verdolaga getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Agustin Urbes hit a great ball. If Leonardo Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Munio was a little too slow when Leonardo Ramirez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Castulo got free with Iker Munio in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Majaditas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Ramirez came free, but Iker Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, one of Verdolaga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Verdolaga. Iker Munio made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Martin Castulo sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Chano during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Majaditas AFC booed when Verdolaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Chano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Majaditas AFC's Severino Urtun couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Verdolaga. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Valiente in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Garaona saved Verdolaga from getting behind. 84 minutes into the match, Pedro Valiente notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Verdolaga's Siro Garaona. Siro Garaona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Prospero Valentine's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Munio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play.
