Simon Loco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Froilan Lartaun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adan Otoniel having to make a save. Adan Otoniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Lertxun's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Froilan Lartaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Adan Otoniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Froilan Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Froilan Lartaun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rueda's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Lartaun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adan Otoniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelio Ekaitz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Adan Otoniel made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Froilan Lartaun sent off a good shot on target. If Dante Lertxun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Lertxun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Froilan Lartaun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Adan Otoniel made a huge save. Froilan Lartaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adan Otoniel having to interfere. Santiago del Estero F.C's Adan Otoniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Santiago del Estero F.C from getting a goal against them.
