Cleto Hermon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Clodoveo Etxekopar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Clodoveo Etxekopar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Fortun in the 29th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Cayetano Ciceron put in a rough tackle. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Locortes! 42 minutes into the game, Gerardo Quinten threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Locortes's Vinicio Olentzaro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vinicio Olentzaro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clodoveo Etxekopar having to make a save. In the 46th minute, Marciano Aurken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

55 minutes into the match, Oliva's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Machado came free, but Clodoveo Etxekopar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Fulgencio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Locortes's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulgencio Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clodoveo Etxekopar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clodoveo Etxekopar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Machado in the 63rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Aurken got free with Lisandro Herensuge in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Atlético Locortes booed when Oliva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Aurken didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Oliva's zone, Francisco Fortun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Etxekopar came out of the goal and Francisco Fortun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliva were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Atlético Locortes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gerardo Quinten took the corner. The corner led Oliva's Gerardo Quinten to fire away a dangerous shot which Lisandro Herensuge despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Clodoveo Etxekopar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Machado in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Nereo Argina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lisandro Herensuge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodoveo Etxekopar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Machado in the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Fulgencio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Locortes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Oliva walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
