The referee ignored Navarro's protests and gave Baldomero Azubeli a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cañada FC booed when Navarro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Azubeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Navarro were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eleuterio Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Behe, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Cañada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Frederik came free, but Fabio Darien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Venancio Feo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Venancio Feo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
