Parish's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Malvin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enzo Buinton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Loramendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Braulio Inge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Victor Fix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the match, Parish's Rodolfo Malvin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enzo Buinton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Lizar hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Enzo Buinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Malvin in the 26th minute of play. Enzo Buinton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Loramendi in the 28th minute of the match. In the 34th minute Rodolfo Malvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Buinton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Loramendi in the 44th minute of play forced Monasterio FC's goalkeeper Enzo Buinton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Parish's Narciso Loramendi got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Braulio Inge to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Braulio Inge in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Fix saved Parish from getting behind. If Uriel Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Inge took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Fix. Victor Fix dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Montrelle in the 67th minute of play forced Parish's goalkeeper Victor Fix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Braulio Inge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Monasterio FC's zone, Narciso Loramendi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Buinton came out of the goal and Narciso Loramendi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Monasterio FC's Enzo Buinton got control of the ball when Narciso Loramendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Malvin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enzo Buinton was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Narciso Loramendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Uriel Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monasterio FC's Uriel Montrelle got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Monasterio FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Parish had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
