The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matias Tello kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Ivan Ayala was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Libertadores de S.C's Esteban Tomi suffered a concussion after 10 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Quintan during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. BOMBAY SAPPHIRE's Godofredo Sanson got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Godofredo Sanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Guaberto George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto George showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Iraitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Ulises Iraitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto George having to interfere. Ulises Iraitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Libertadores de S.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BOMBAY SAPPHIRE were winning 1-2.

When Ulises Iraitz came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Iraitz couldn't finish the play. Guaberto George took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Sanson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulises Iraitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Guaberto George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Godofredo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Manex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Gutxi in the 63rd minute of the match. Everardo Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Ayala during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Ayala to maneuver through the defense. Guaberto George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Sanson in the 72nd minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE's Godofredo Sanson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guaberto George narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Everardo Gutxi struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Primitivo Manex didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Libertadores de S.C. In the 85th minute, Segundo Quintan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th play minute Ulises Iraitz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guaberto George. 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BOMBAY SAPPHIRE eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
