Spectators: 7342 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horacio Primo started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Virgilio Arlo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Podestá's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgilio Arlo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Lop breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute Virgilio Arlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Lop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo's Leonardo Mazuste got a free kick in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Virgilio Arlo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Chimborazo's Angelo Lop. Angelo Lop was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Angelo Lop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Arlo in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Arlo in the 33rd minute of play forced Chimborazo's goalkeeper Angelo Lop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeo Lamberto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 38th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Virgilio Arlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Lop having to interfere. Jonas Umbruso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgilio Arlo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Horacio Primo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Podestá's Amadeo Lamberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eusebio Bladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Amadeo Lamberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Villa Podestá's Justo Henrico got a free kick in the 57th minute. Angelo Lop took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Umbruso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes Villa Podestá got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Salamon. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo's Horacio Primo got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 72 minutes, Justo Henrico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Podestá and the Chimborazo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Damian Porfirio took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeo Lamberto. Amadeo Lamberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 77th minute, Villa Podestá's Virgilio Arlo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Lop. Angelo Lop yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. If Justo Henrico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Villa Podestá's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Primo came free, but Amadeo Lamberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Eusebio Bladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimborazo's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Bladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeo Lamberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
