Raimundo Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leonardo Jorrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Monjes Shaolin's Enzo Mincho got a free kick in the 37th minute. Baldomero Niva was a little too slow when Cornelio Dabi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. The supporters of Monjes Shaolin booed when Los Leones F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Lonzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
