Camilo Enekoitz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Freddy Rufo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. David Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Lluciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the game, Jonas Conrao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zanjitas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Zanjitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Conrao to maneuver through the defense. Alejo Lluciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. David Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Fulgencio Gonsalve mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS and the Zanjitas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Gonsalve. Alejo Lluciano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Barrionuevo having to make a save. In the 25th minute, one of CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS. When the match had been going on for 26 minutes, Zanjitas's Hernan Loren got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Freddy Rufo. Dalmacio Franco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Enzo Gonzales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Enzo Gonzales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enzo Gonzales made a kick off. David Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Lluciano in the 56th minute of play. Camilo Enekoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Freddy Rufo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS's Ladislao Belasko got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute of the match Hernan Loren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Rufo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alejo Lluciano struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. David Barrionuevo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS. In the 68th minute, Valentin Arnalt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, one of Zanjitas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zanjitas. Guido Mikeldi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS's Freddy Rufo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Enekoitz in the 84th minute of play. With his leg David Barrionuevo managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS's Dalmacio Franco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 88th minute, Zanjitas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dalmacio Franco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmacio Franco got free with David Barrionuevo in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in CLUB ATLETICO DUFFERS's zone, Enzo Gonzales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Rufo came out of the goal and Enzo Gonzales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmacio Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. David Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zanjitas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
