In the 9th minute, Los Vasquitos FC's Hermengildo Leocadio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Leizarraga in the 13th minute of play forced Los Vasquitos FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Procopio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Vasquitos FC's zone, Raimundo Garin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Procopio came out of the goal and Raimundo Garin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los Vasquitos FC's Cornelio Procopio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Leizarraga in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Raimundo Garin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LO MEJORE 11 F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Garin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, one of Los Vasquitos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los Vasquitos FC. Los Vasquitos FC's Erubiel Corderall managed to work through LO MEJORE 11 F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Erubiel Corderall dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 36 played minutes LO MEJORE 11 F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Cedro. Erubiel Corderall struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Anselmo Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Vasquitos FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raimundo Garin in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Procopio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 49 minutes into the match, Los Vasquitos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Belo came free, but Cornelio Procopio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erubiel Corderall to make the kick off. If Raimundo Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Vasquitos FC's Cornelio Procopio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Los Vasquitos FC from getting a goal against them. After 59 played minutes Silvano Leizarraga rounded Los Vasquitos FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Corderall in the 73rd minute of play forced LO MEJORE 11 F.C.'s goalkeeper Anselmo Godoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornelio Procopio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Garin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Erubiel Corderall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Vasquitos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erubiel Corderall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Vasquitos FC! 95 minutes into the match, Los Vasquitos FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Procopio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Garin.
