When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Piearres was the one to do the kick off. Justo Peter's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Jairo Gotzon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Justo Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Paraní's zone, Justo Peter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Gotzon came out of the goal and Justo Peter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Arnulfo Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Paraní's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnulfo Hotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Efren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseo Piearres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Efren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Piearres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Parque Avellaneda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Piearres came free, but Simon Efren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliciano Rufo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Gotzon having to interfere. With his leg Jairo Gotzon managed to avoid a goal in the 99thth minute, when Parque Avellaneda FC's Justo Peter fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
