Luis Dayam struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Leopoldo Tiniebra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres. If Filiberto Iaki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marciano Maiorga kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Filiberto Iaki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Filiberto Iaki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Tiniebra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Tiniebra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Iaki, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Orland was the one to do the kick off. Nestor Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Orland in the 56th minute of play. Nicolas Orland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Libertad having to interfere. When Tobias Jaizki fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talleres's protests and gave Tobias Jaizki a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Talleres getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tobias Jaizki hit a great ball. Luis Dayam's late challenge caught a Borussian Tatu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Dayam helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Luis Dayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Txaran ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Orland in the 75th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Nestor Libertad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Talleres booed when Borussian Tatu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Oalo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
