When Filiberto Iaki came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Talleres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Iaki couldn't finish the play. Nestor Libertad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Erruki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximino Calisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Libertad having to interfere. With his leg Jairo Gotzon managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Talleres's Luis Dayam fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Talleres defense, Eliseo Piearres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Libertad. The Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Libertad should have stopped the shot. Eliseo Piearres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nestor Libertad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Braulio Shantala kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Maximino Calisto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Paraní's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Calisto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Libertad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseo Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Libertad having to interfere. Talleres's Nestor Libertad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Calisto in the 39th minute of play. If Maximino Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlético Paraní's Maximino Calisto got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Paraní's Eliseo Piearres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestor Libertad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The wind increased when Filiberto Iaki made the kick off in the second half. Nestor Libertad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Luis Dayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseo Piearres in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Libertad prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobias Manilan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Paraní's zone, Filiberto Iaki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Gotzon came out of the goal and Filiberto Iaki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Paraní defense, Filiberto Iaki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jairo Gotzon. The Club Atlético Paraní fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jairo Gotzon should have stopped the shot. If Maximino Calisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Paraní's Eliseo Piearres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nestor Libertad. That made the score 1-3 after 83 minutes of play. 89 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Piearres came free, but Nestor Libertad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Libertad having to interfere. In the 95th minute Eliseo Piearres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Libertad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Maximino Calisto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Libertad. Talleres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Calisto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Club Atlético Paraní's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
