Igor Illart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente F.C.. After 27 played minutes, Independiente F.C.'s Camilo Emenon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Igor Illart came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independiente F.C. reached it. Independiente F.C.'s Maximino Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Jerano in the 30th minute of play. Federico Jerano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Federico Jerano took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Maximino Ranolfo to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Monteverde's Gustavo Urtsin got a free kick in the 41st minute. The supporters of Monteverde booed when Independiente F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Quintana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adan Francesco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Independiente F.C.'s goalkeeper Maximino Ranolfo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Monteverde's Juan Venerando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximino Ranolfo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Gustavo Urtsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Maximino Ranolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64thth minute of the game Juan Venerando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente F.C.'s Maximino Ranolfo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adan Francesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Venerando took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Ranolfo. Maximino Ranolfo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Monteverde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Urtsin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Illart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Sabino in the 88th minute of the match. Igor Illart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Santos in the 90th minute. With a little luck, Monteverde's Igor Illart got control of the ball when Mauricio Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Jacinto Quintana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
