Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marco Urtats started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Urtats came free, but Osvaldo Barto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Barto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Confesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Guido Lauren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Castelli FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Independiente's Sebastian Oliverios got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Evaristo Hernando. If Dionisio Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Isusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independiente's Osvaldo Barto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Confesor in the 34th minute of play. Dionisio Confesor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Osvaldo Barto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Urtats in the 41st minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Osvaldo Barto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Marco Urtats cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Osvaldo Barto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raimundo Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 54th minute of the match Independiente got a corner. Castelli FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastian Oliverios ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dionisio Confesor hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Sebastian Oliverios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Oliverios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guido Lauren's late challenge caught a Castelli FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guido Lauren helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Guido Lauren hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Castelli FC were awarded a corner. Eriberto Justin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Eriberto Justin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Independiente's Osvaldo Barto did a great save. In the 62nd minute, Eriberto Justin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timoteo Isusko struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Evaristo Hernando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. Evaristo Hernando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timoteo Isusko went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Raimundo Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Hernando having to interfere. Independiente's Raimundo Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Vladimiro Fagondo hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Dionisio Confesor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
