Spectators: 6802 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) River Plate's Dalmacio Faro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Constantino Breogan charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Constantino Breogan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 2nd match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Breogan to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Caravantes FC's zone, Gaston Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moises Cucao came out of the goal and Gaston Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Caravantes FC's Moises Cucao got control of the ball when Gaston Medina tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Faro in the 10th minute of play forced Caravantes FC's goalkeeper Moises Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantino Breogan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Cucao having to interfere. Victorino Lope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Etxepare, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dalmacio Faro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Moises Cucao 22 minutes into the match. If Lisandro Etxepare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caravantes FC's Melquiades Mel managed to work through River Plate's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Melquiades Mel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Victorino Lope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Etxepare in the 30th minute of play. Melquiades Mel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Lope having to interfere. If Nereo Nalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes Caravantes FC got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Llorian. If Dalmacio Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caravantes FC's Moises Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Faro in the 45th minute of play. With a little luck, Caravantes FC's Moises Cucao got control of the ball when Gaston Medina tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melquiades Mel was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Nereo Nalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54thth minute of the game Gaston Medina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caravantes FC's Moises Cucao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Gaston Medina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moises Cucao. Caravantes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Medina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dalmacio Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Moises Cucao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mateo Claude hit a great ball. After 68 minutes, Dalmacio Faro made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Caravantes FC's Moises Cucao tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Gaston Medina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Moises Cucao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caravantes FC's Moises Cucao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Medina in the 75th minute of play. Moises Cucao didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaston Medina went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Melquiades Mel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moises Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Medina in the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Dalmacio Faro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moises Cucao. Caravantes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dalmacio Faro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 95th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Indartsu to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Aldo Salbatore sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and River Plate's Victorino Lope didn't even have to move. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The River Plate fans cheered their team off the field, for while Caravantes FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
