But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Sanchez couldn't finish the play. 6 minutes into the match, Sayate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Sanchez came free, but Dionisio Txerran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Joaquin Lamberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vencedores's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Lamberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Sanchez charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. He walked away shaking his head. Damian Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 50th minute of the match Gaston Pacorro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dionisio Txerran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Sanchez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sayate FC's zone, Celso Sanchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dionisio Txerran came out of the goal and Celso Sanchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Lamberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Txerran having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Vencedores's zone, Lucas Laffitte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Salvino came out of the goal and Lucas Laffitte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damian Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Erramu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jonas Salvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Salvino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Kemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute.
