That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Flavio Gartzi succeeded in the game's 10th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. When Saturnino Teodor fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romero FC's protests and gave Saturnino Teodor a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Matthew in the 16th minute of play forced Sayate AFC's goalkeeper Emiliano Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Piorno having to interfere. Juan Piorno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Baladi in the 21st minute of the match. Sayate AFC's Emiliano Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Sayate AFC from getting a goal against them. Emiliano Cutberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Gartzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Sayate AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Laurin. Juan Piorno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Baladi in the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th minute Sayate AFC were awarded a corner. Fernando Santos went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Baladi in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Piorno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Remigio Ladio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Piorno was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 42 minutes of play, Sayate AFC's Remigio Ladio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Piorno was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Baladi to make the kick off. Remigio Ladio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 54th minute Flavio Gartzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Romero FC's zone, Remigio Ladio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Piorno came out of the goal and Remigio Ladio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remigio Ladio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Piorno having to interfere. In the 66th minute Albino Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remigio Ladio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Piorno having to make a save. Sayate AFC's Albino Baladi got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulino Manex sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Albino Baladi came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Sayate AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Baladi couldn't finish the play. If Paulino Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Baladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Piorno having to interfere. In the 79th minute Remigio Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Albino Baladi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sayate AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Baladi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Piorno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the game, Paulino Manex cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Juan Piorno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emiliano Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Arano in the 86th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Romero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Matthew to maneuver through the defense. After 97 minutes, Albino Baladi made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Romero FC's Juan Piorno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
