The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Tallia hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes Alvarado FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Orlan. Alvarado FC were furious when Melchor Quentin was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alvarado FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, Balderrama's Eusebio Sandalio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ismael Quinto. Carlos Tallia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Quinto having to interfere. Cesar Frasco scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Domingos Mero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Domingos Mero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Abeita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Leizarraga struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Domingos Mero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvarado FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Leizarraga was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Balderrama's Domingos Mero got control of the ball when Felipe Leizarraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Domingos Mero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Leizarraga went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After 59 minutes of play, Alvarado FC's Felipe Leizarraga made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingos Mero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Domingos Mero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cesar Frasco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Domingos Mero made a huge save. Severino Canor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingos Mero made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Felipe Leizarraga sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gizon might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismael Quinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquin Gizon ran back to his position shaking his head. Eusebio Sandalio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Quinto having to interfere. Balderrama's attentive Hipolito Janpier managed to snatch the ball when Alonzo Pelayo made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balderrama's goalkeeper Domingos Mero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Domingos Mero made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Felipe Leizarraga sent off a good shot on target.
