Juan Piorno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Lope, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Romero FC's Juan Piorno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Lope in the 15th minute of play. If Felipe Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Piorno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Lope in the 23rd minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, one of Romero FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 32 minutes into the game, Anacleto Lope was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alvarado FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romero FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alvarado FC's Anacleto Lope got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Anacleto Lope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Piorno having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Romero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Lope came free, but Juan Piorno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Romero FC got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Teodor. Alvarado FC's Felipe Leizarraga got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Alvarado FC booed when Romero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Teodor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Piorno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Lope in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio Gartzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alvarado FC's Ismael Quinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Gartzi in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Saturnino Teodor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romero FC and the Alvarado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Romero FC's Saturnino Teodor got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Saturnino Teodor off the ground. After 62 played minutes Romero FC got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Teodor. Anacleto Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvarado FC's Felipe Leizarraga got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juan Piorno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anacleto Lope in the 71st minute. Ismael Quinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Arano, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute Paolo Arano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Quinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Anacleto Lope got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Leizarraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Juan Piorno made a huge save. Romero FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
