But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomás Heidemann couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, Sayate AFC's Paulino Manex nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guido Ishmael made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Emiliano Cutberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Heidemann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sayate AFC's Emiliano Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erlin Håland in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute Erlin Håland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erlin Håland in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Cutberto saved Sayate AFC from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Guido Ishmael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albino Baladi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erlin Håland in the 33rd minute of play forced Sayate AFC's goalkeeper Emiliano Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Vikingos FC's Erlin Håland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a little luck, Vikingos FC's Guido Ishmael got control of the ball when Paulino Manex tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Baladi to make the kick off. Sayate AFC's Emiliano Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Sayate AFC from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Isadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Cutberto having to interfere. Remigio Ladio struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Guido Ishmael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sayate AFC. When the final whistle sounded Vikingos FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sayate AFC.
