When Cleto Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Waxton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Ramos couldn't finish the play. If Cleto Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Mariano Prejun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Mendobus and the Waxton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evelio Charro was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Clodoveo Jerico capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clodoveo Jerico really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cleto Ramos made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Waxton's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Jerico came free, but Evelio Charro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Atlético Mendobus's Dalmacio Idacio got control of the ball when Melquiades Cresconio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evelio Charro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Gorri in the 57th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Cleto Ramos rounded Atlético Mendobus's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Cleto Ramos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Melquiades Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Melquiades Cresconio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dalmacio Idacio, 1-2. Melquiades Cresconio kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Atlético Mendobus's keeper Dalmacio Idacio was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. When %teams%'s Melquiades Cresconio was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-3 just inside the left pole, 82 minutes into the game. Dalmacio Idacio was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. When Mariano Prejun was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. After 87 played minutes Atlético Mendobus got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Prejun. Melquiades Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dalmacio Idacio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Celso Gorri came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Atlético Mendobus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Gorri couldn't finish the play. Melquiades Cresconio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 94th playminute. The Waxton supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Waxton would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
