But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Henric couldn't finish the play. Luciano Bartuelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evelio Charro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luciano Bartuelo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Waxton getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Casimiro Rufio hit a great ball. Evelio Charro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Placido Raitin. Melquiades Cresconio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Virila having to interfere. Arnaldo Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dennehy AFC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Virila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Waxton getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Fernan Rainerio hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Waxton's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Henric came free, but Evelio Charro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Virila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cleto Ramos made a kick off. Evelio Charro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Henric in the 57th minute of the match. Cleto Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Virila having to interfere. Evelio Charro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Bartuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Gonchan during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Cleto Ramos took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Arnaldo Virila to make any attempt to save it. Gaspar Edwardo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Melquiades Cresconio made a precise shot to the right of Arnaldo Virila. Dennehy AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Waxton eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
