The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ricardo Beltran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Constantino Satordi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Romeo Ted made a huge save. The supporters of Carpintería booed when sabalero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Checa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horacio Garaona, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind sabalero's goalkeeper Romeo Ted, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Israel Unai in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Federico Guillelmus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, sabalero's Ricardo Beltran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Federico Guillelmus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of sabalero booed when Carpintería was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Beltran struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Federico Guillelmus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for sabalero. Federico Guillelmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Unai in the 37th minute of the match. Federico Guillelmus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Beltran went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Mercurio made the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Mercurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Ted having to interfere. The supporters of Carpintería booed when sabalero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Senio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Mercurio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Romeo Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Constantino Satordi made a precise shot to the right of Romeo Ted. sabalero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Carpintería's Nicanor Alonso got a free kick in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Beltran in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Guillelmus saved Carpintería from getting behind. After 77 minutes, Anselmo Aragones mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carpintería and the sabalero players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Anselmo Aragones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Ted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Mercurio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. sabalero's Romeo Ted played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Mercurio in the 84th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Romeo Lobo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 94 played minutes Carpintería got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Mercurio. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. sabalero walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
