Pueblo FC's Ramon Rosario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Suero in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Caraguatay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Savier to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Natalio Dantel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcial Suero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramon Rosario having to make a save. Ramon Rosario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Suero, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Caraguatay FC booed when Pueblo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Peli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Rosario was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marcial Suero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. When Diego Abar came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Caraguatay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Abar couldn't finish the play. Marcial Suero's late challenge caught a Pueblo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Suero helped the player get up and apologised. Marcial Suero kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Daniel Peli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pueblo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caraguatay FC.
