An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Silvanito in the 9th minute of play forced Mecoyta FC's goalkeeper Mariano Nisio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astor Gorbea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Mariano Nisio made a huge save. The supporters of Mecoyta FC booed when Hoyón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Montez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Astor Gorbea struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Mariano Nisio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoyón. Severiano Gabino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Candido Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Pepillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Nisio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Silvanito in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Severiano Gabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mecoyta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Gabino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnoldo Silvanito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Nisio having to interfere. In the 65th match minute, Mecoyta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Fernendo to maneuver through the defense. Astor Gorbea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Mariano Nisio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hoyón's Candido Belmiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Hoyón from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severiano Gabino in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Belmiro saved Hoyón from getting behind. If Severiano Gabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute of the match, Aquilino Pepillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Candido Belmiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Osvaldo Hats's late challenge caught a Hoyón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Hats helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Mecoyta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Hats to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Hoyón's Jeremias Transito tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Hoyón's goalkeeper Candido Belmiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquilino Pepillo. After a rather tough play, Hoyón's Fabricio Montez got a free kick in the 94th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
