The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Esteinlab FC booed when Mecoyta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Efraim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute Esteinlab FC were awarded a corner. Fabio Amor went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 26th minute of the match, Severiano Gabino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Denis Bieito saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Mecoyta FC's zone, Esteban Gines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Nisio came out of the goal and Esteban Gines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquilino Pepillo got free with Denis Bieito in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mariano Nisio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Gines in the 33rd minute of play. Leonel Santio kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 41 minutes, Froilan Cortez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esteinlab FC and the Mecoyta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored Esteinlab FC's protests and gave Fabio Amor a yellow card for diving instead. Fabio Amor kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The Mecoyta FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Esteinlab FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
