The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Hoyón's Cornelio Marquez got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Celedonio Cugat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Belmiro having to interfere. If Astor Gorbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Silvanito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Niva having to interfere. In the 15th minute Astor Gorbea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Niva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Hoyón's Astor Gorbea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clemente Niva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Celedonio Cugat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Belmiro having to interfere. Gerardo Beturian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabricio Montez charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 38th minute, Celedonio Cugat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Silvanito in the 44th minute of play forced C.A. PEGASO's goalkeeper Clemente Niva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Astor Gorbea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Clemente Niva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Arnoldo Silvanito made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, C.A. PEGASO's goalkeeper Clemente Niva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Gorbea. Astor Gorbea struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Clemente Niva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoyón. Clemente Niva came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hoyón's Astor Gorbea. But to his dismay, Astor Gorbea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 68th minute, Anibal Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Celedonio Cugat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Arnoldo Silvanito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, C.A. PEGASO's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Silvanito came free, but Clemente Niva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Hoyón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Montez to maneuver through the defense. Nereo Gomez might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Candido Belmiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nereo Gomez ran back to his position shaking his head. 84 minutes into the match, Hoyón's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Cugat came free, but Candido Belmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Damian Ekain fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hoyón's protests and gave Damian Ekain a yellow card for diving instead. Candido Belmiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celedonio Cugat's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Hoyón's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
