Sanford AFC's Roberto Walme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Sanford AFC from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Sanford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Modestio came free, but Roberto Walme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victoriano Kemen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Chano in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Walme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafael Chano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafael Chano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Roberto Walme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sanford AFC's zone, Arnulfo Modestio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Walme came out of the goal and Arnulfo Modestio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximino Paublo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Chano in the 52nd minute of play forced Sanford AFC's goalkeeper Roberto Walme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dante Lluciano during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, one of Sanford AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sanford AFC.
