An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Gorbea in the 4th minute of play forced VOLCANOS FC's goalkeeper Leonides Vidal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arnoldo Silvanito came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Hoyón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnoldo Silvanito couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Hoyón's zone, Joaquin Romano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Belmiro came out of the goal and Joaquin Romano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Hoyón:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of VOLCANOS FC:s goal. Baltasar Llope's late challenge caught a Hoyón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Llope helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes VOLCANOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Llope. Leonides Vidal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Astor Gorbea went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Joaquin Romano came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the VOLCANOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Romano couldn't finish the play. Candido Belmiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a little luck, Hoyón's Candido Belmiro got control of the ball when Joaquin Romano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of VOLCANOS FC booed when Hoyón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Perfecto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes Hoyón got a freekick which was hit by Dario Esdras. Joaquin Romano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Candido Belmiro made a huge save. With a little luck, Hoyón's Candido Belmiro got control of the ball when Joaquin Romano tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnoldo Silvanito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes VOLCANOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Lapurdi. If Arnoldo Silvanito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Luix kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a little luck, VOLCANOS FC's Leonides Vidal got control of the ball when Astor Gorbea tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 62 minutes, Anibal Montes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hoyón and the VOLCANOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hoyón's Anibal Montes got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Joaquin Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Candido Belmiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Romano during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joaquin Romano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Astor Gorbea got free with Leonides Vidal in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot by Zacarias Perfecto from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Leonides Vidal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 81 played minutes VOLCANOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Lapurdi. Baltasar Llope recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Jonathan Esdras managed to get in a good position for a shot. VOLCANOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Esdras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Belmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. VOLCANOS FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
