Vinicio Cordeara made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Ovidio Garaile sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Jaunti in the 7th minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dalmacio Pacorro fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candelaria FC's protests and gave Dalmacio Pacorro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Dalmacio Pacorro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Candelaria FC's zone, Elpidio Abilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Cordeara came out of the goal and Elpidio Abilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amado Frascuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Enaut having to interfere. Candelaria FC's Amado Frascuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Basilio Txurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute, Ovidio Garaile ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinicio Cordeara was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Basilio Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amado Frascuelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Higinio Enaut having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Francis in the 37th minute of play forced geminis's goalkeeper Higinio Enaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Txurio hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Elpidio Abilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Cordeara having to interfere. Vinicio Cordeara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Abilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amado Frascuelo made a kick off. Ovidio Garaile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Cordeara having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Abilio in the 55th minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Cordeara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Txurio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Higinio Enaut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Frascuelo in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Elpidio Abilio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Candelaria FC's Vinicio Cordeara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vinicio Cordeara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Garaile's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 79th minute Elpidio Abilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Cordeara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basilio Txurio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Higinio Enaut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Many of Candelaria FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Candelaria FC may have spent more time on the ball, but geminis were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
